Spirit of Black Friday
Black Friday. A tradition that many of us became familiarized with because of its special characteristics, waking up at 3 a.m., fighting over television sets, and of course most notably finding ahhmamzing deals. Black Friday has been like this for as long as many of us can remember, but what about future generations? It has become quite common for many stores to start their sales on Thanksgiving afternoon in opposition to the common Friday morning. many complain that this is a bad idea for many reasons. Some including less time spent with families for the workers and shoppers. Others complain that this takes away from the typical Black Friday traditions. this however did not stop shoppers from participating in their typical black Friday behaviors. Walmart sold over 1.4 million tablets, but that's not what people were raving about. The popular deal this year was apparently a towel that cost 29 cents!! This apparently led to several fights but resulted in the sale of 2.8 million towels. I guess some Black Friday traditions will just never die down.
